On this trip to Paris we walked up to the Louvre but we didn’t go in. We would have had less than an hour to wander around inside and for the Louvre that really isn’t enough time. Also I had been to the Louvre when I was eight. I have my memories and seeing the Louvre again I wasn’t sure that I wanted to go in, I liked my memories the way they were. I remember the Mona Lisa, before she was put behind glass. I remember wandering through with my Mom and being in awe of the paintings, sculptures and the building itself. I still have postcards from that time. So on this trip although I said “Hello” to the Louvre I didn’t stop to get reaquainted. Next time I would like a day just for the Louvre so that I can go and properly greet and spend time with an old friend.
Walking up to the Louvre you see Louis XIV on a horse. It’s beautiful and the back drop of the Louvre is perfect for it.
The Louvre.
A large blow up man? Sheep? Superhero doll thing? …. anyway looks like it’s trying to escape or maybe it’s waiting for small children to walk underneath it to capture and bring inside for an art lesson.
