We were in a park in Bangkok and suddenly we saw this guy:

There were more, they just wandered out of the water and looked around. My first thought was WTF is that? My next thought was RUN……. They are HUGE and they can move, which then got us moving away from them. It seemed so unsafe but a gentleman we talked to assured us that if we don’t approach and don’t startle them then they would leave us alone. I didn’t really believe him.

We took a few pictures, they posed and looked lovely. Then my friend and I booked it out of there. I had already had an incident with a monkey, I didn’t want to add a Komodo dragon to the list of animals I have accidently pissed off.
